Below is a summary of the Israel Championship in Natural Bodybuilding on behalf of the WNBF Association held on Thursday 11.12.2020:

The competition and the corona virus

The competition was held in the shadow of the corona virus and under constraints to clean up with safety measures and to act in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health.
The competition was held in a "capsule" facility and at any given moment there were only 3 categories in the competition area:
- The current category competing on stage
- The next category is getting ready to take the stage
- The next category is in the coloring area.
The competitors arrived unaccompanied and there was no audience present at the event.
A total of 5 judges were present at the event, but in order to meet the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, only 3 judged each category.

Details about the competition

About 70 competitors participated in the competition in 16 different categories.
The event was broadcast live on the union's YouTube channel and was watched by over 10,000 viewers.
The competitors were ranked separately in all the different categories and sub-categories.
At the end of the competition, the champions of champions who were the best in each category were chosen.

The scoring method

Judges and 3 female judges judged the competition even in each given category, only 3 of them were in the competition area in order to comply with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
The judges judged the categories autonomously and independently.
In a situation where the judge has a conflict of interest in a certain category (acquaintance with one of the competitors), he disqualifies himself from judging the category.
Each judge ranked the competitors in each round from first to last place. To Dagoma: If 4 competitors participated in the category and there are 2 rounds in the category, the judge placed each competitor from first to fourth place in each round separately.
After that, the sum of each competitor's points is calculated and the competitor with the lowest score wins the category.
It is important to note that size and toning are not the only factor that makes up the score and it consists of several components such as: muscle mass, toning (can add or subtract depending on the emphasis of the category), proportion, posing and self-presentation on stage.
The Champion of Champions category was decided by the judges' vote.

Important note

On the evening of the competition after winning, a urine sample was taken from each competitor who won a category. The sample will be tested to rule out illicit drug use.
If a positive result comes back, the student will be deprived of his degree.
