WNBF
What is WNBF?
WNBF is one of the largest and highest quality associations in the world in natural bodybuilding. The association was founded in 1989 by a couple (husband and wife) from the USA who have a strong affinity for bodybuilding and a desire to promote the field to competitors who do not use performance-enhancing substances. Since then, the association has been operating with great success in about 20 countries, and as of 2018 also in Israel .
Who is responsible for the union's activities in Israel?
The management team of WNBF ISRAEL is headed by Or Dan, the president of the union, together with Sivan Tapala and Nahum Benilov, they manage the union's activities and promote the field of natural bodybuilding in Israel.

Why compete in the WNBF?
If you are a natural bodybuilder, WNBF is the natural choice for you.
WNBF ISRAEL is the only association in Israel that provides a competitive platform free of drugs,
and meets the strict standards of the international association WNBF in drug testing in order to allow natural competitors a fair competition.
The winners of the Israel Championship are awarded a PRO card that allows them to compete in the World Championship held every year in the USA.
Registration for the competition
How do you register?
on the contest registration page, fill out the registration form, confirm the regulations and pay the registration fee - and you're in.
What is the cost of registration?
The cost of registering for the competition is NIS 350.
This cost is for participation in the competition only, and does not include the cost of a polygraph test, medical tests, etc.
Participation in the competition is conditional on paying the registration fee and performing the required tests for which a separate fee will be charged that will be published later.
What are the conditions for registering for the competition?

What is the minimum age to participate in the competition?
You can participate in the competition at any age subject to the registration conditions.
Minors under the age of 18 will be charged with the approval of their parents or guardian.

Preparation for the competition
How do you prepare for the competition?
The process of preparing for the competition is individual and should be adapted to the competitor personally.
We strongly recommend, especially for inexperienced competitors, to use a professional with experience in the field, who specializes in accompanying competitors in preparation for competitions.
For first-time competitors, we recommend taking the competition in a fun and relaxed atmosphere from a place of learning and knowledge of the field, but at the same time not giving up serious, adequate and professional preparation.
How long in advance is it recommended to prepare for the competition?
As a general rule, quality preparation for the competition takes time and it is recommended to start it as early as possible. The average duration of preparation takes several months, and depends on many factors such as: the competitor's current condition, self-preparation or accompanied by a professional, the level of professionalism and experience in previous preparations of the competitor and the accompanying professional, the level of the competitor's willingness and ability to invest the time and effort required for preparation, etc.
Who can prepare me for the competition?
When choosing an accompanying professional, it is important to make sure that he has the appropriate knowledge and experience in preparing competitors for competitions, in particular natural competitors, and knows how to adapt the process to each competitor personally.

How is the competition judged?
The competition is judged according to the WNBF rules.

drug tests
Do I have to take a polygraph test?
Yes, we require all competitors to pass a polygraph test.
The test will be carried out one week according to the date of the competition at the company "Avir Polygraph" (testing at another institute will not be possible).
How long does a polygraph test take?
The test itself is not a long process, it is usually performed the week before the competition. Filtering the candidates, filling out the questionnaires and the preliminary interviews take more time. All this information is required in order for us to perform the polygraph test effectively. You must arrive at least half an hour before the time set for the examination in order to fill out the paperwork. Some examinees will require you to fill out the paperwork before arriving for the examination. An identity card, driver's license or passport are also required by the polygraph examiners.
Do I have to undergo a urine test?
If you have registered as a competitor, we may ask you to take a urine test without notice.
During the competition, all competitors are required to take a urine test "in their show clothes" and are not allowed to take anything with them into the testing area.
Competitors who competed and won, are required to take a urine test immediately after getting off the stage.

What happens if I fail the test?
An athlete who fails a drug test or polygraph test is required to report this prior to registration with the WNBF.
Failure to comply with this provision will result in suspension of union membership for 7 years.
