Below is a summary of the Israel Championship in Natural Bodybuilding on behalf of the WNBF Thursday 05/20/2021:

The competition and the corona virus

The competition was held in the shadow of the corona virus and under constraints to clean up with safety measures and to act in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health.
In accordance with the "green note" regulations present in the competition area, only people who meet one or more of the following 3 conditions are allowed:
- We have been vaccinated against the corona virus and it has been a week or more since receiving the second vaccine dose
- Recovered from the corona virus.
- Present a negative test result from the last 3 days

Operation "Guardian of the Walls"

The competition was held on the tenth day of Operation "Guardian of the Walls" during which more than 4000 rockets were fired at Israeli territory and led to the death of 11 civilians and extensive damage to property in the southern Shefala and Sharon regions.
Due to the security situation and the high risk of injury to human life, the Home Front Command imposed restrictions on gatherings in open and closed areas.
In response to this, the event was moved to the Zionist House of America in Tel Aviv and thus the competition was held in a protected space.
The audience was limited to up to 100 people in accordance with Pekar's guidelines

Details about the competition

About 70 competitors participated in the competition in 16 different categories.
The competitors were ranked separately in all the different categories and sub-categories.
At the end of the competition, the champions of champions who were the best in each category were chosen.

The scoring method

2 male and 4 female judges judged the competition.
The judges judged the categories autonomously and independently.
In a situation where the judge has a conflict of interest in a certain category (acquaintance with one of the competitors), he disqualifies himself from judging the category.
Each judge ranked the competitors in each round from first to last place. To Dagoma: If 4 competitors participated in the category and there are 2 rounds in the category, the judge placed each competitor from first to fourth place in each round separately.
The weighted sum of each contestant's points is then calculated and the contestant with the lowest score wins the category.
The Champion of Champions category was decided by the judges' vote.

Important note

On the evening of the competition after winning, a urine sample was taken from each competitor who won a category. The sample will be tested to rule out illicit drug use.
If a positive result comes back, the student will be deprived of his degree.
